Land Use Administration also regulates the various types of buildings and their uses according to the Zoning Ordinance which describes the types, size, and shape of uses that can exist in the appropriate zoning districts. These regulations, in accordance with the Comprehensive Plan, ensure that land uses are compatibly located and benefit the health, safety, and general welfare of the citizens.
